As a young, highly trained, and experienced team, we share our enthusiasm for kitesurfing and wingfoiling with you. Simon can look back on more than 20 years of kitesurfing experience and has been teaching worldwide for over 15 years. As an instructor, he has worked at spots in Brazil, the Philippines, Egypt, France, the Caribbean, Germany, and of course Italy. He has also proven his skills multiple times in international kiteboarding competitions.
Whether kitesurfing or wingfoiling, Simon knows exactly how to take your skills to the next level.

More than ten years ago, Leon discovered his passion for kitesurfing in the Philippines. Since then, he has traveled to numerous kitesurfing and wingfoiling spots around the world and experienced unforgettable moments on and off the water in South America, Europe, and Asia. Despite all these travels, Lake Garda remains his personal home spot. Every year he returns with great anticipation to share his enthusiasm for the sport and his experience as an instructor with our guests. Reconnecting with familiar faces, meeting new people, and spending as much time as possible on the water are among the highlights of his summer.

In 2017, Julie discovered her passion for kitesurfing in Mexico, and since then the adventure has never let her go. Whether by plane or in her van, she travels the world to explore new spots. She has also turned her passion into her profession and has been teaching in Sicily, at Lake Garda, and at the Baltic Sea ever since. Julie loves the freedom, fun, and energy on the water, and this is exactly the feeling she aims to pass on to her students. For her, kitesurfing is the perfect sport to fully push yourself, clear your mind, and finish every session with a smile.

Chris has been living this mindset since his first kite sessions in 2009 at Lake Garda. What started as a passion later became his profession. As the founder of Kitesafari.eu, he organizes kitesafaris to dream spots all over the world. During the summer, Chris can be found on the water at Lake Garda as an instructor and also supports the station management at AVID. With his open personality, deep expertise, and genuine enthusiasm, he is not only a teacher but also a passionate host. Chris teaches with great dedication, inspires others, and has a way of igniting a true passion for kitesurfing in his students, whether beginners or advanced riders. Anyone who kites with him quickly realizes that it is about more than just a sport, it is a way of life.

Marcy learned kitesurfing at AVID Kiteboarding and immediately realized that she had found a new passion. In 2022, she packed her bags and has since worked as a kite instructor at dream spots around the world, from Egypt and Brazil to Mexico and her home spot at Lake Garda. Teaching is more than a job for her, it is her passion. For over ten years, she has helped people as a coach in rhythmic gymnastics to bring out their very best. She now brings this coaching expertise into kitesurfing with great enthusiasm. Marcy is a true free spirit: for her, kitesurfing means pure joy, boundless freedom, and unforgettable moments on the water.

Jacqui has been living and sharing her unique lifestyle as an instructor at AVID since 2023. In addition to teaching, she supports the station management and, together with Chris, organizes kite camps at dream spots around the world. Alongside her main profession as a veterinarian, teaching and a sensitive approach to people have long been part of Jacqui’s life. Her experience running a small riding school has shown her how important patience, clear communication, and joy in learning are. With a smile on her face, great passion, and positive energy, she not only introduces her guests to kitesurfing but above all aims to pass on one thing: fun, safety, and genuine enthusiasm on the water.

Matze is an automotive engineer, private pilot, and passionate kitesurfer. From an early age, he has been fascinated by wind, technology, and the feeling of freedom. He has already experienced this in Sardinia, Brazil, and Croatia, as well as regularly at our home spot Lake Garda, where he especially appreciates kite foiling and the thermal winds. As a kite instructor at AVID, he shares his passion and expertise with great enthusiasm. In his teaching, he places strong emphasis on safety, fun, and sustainable progress.

For the past 8 years, Ben has been following his passion for wind and waves around the world. As a kite instructor, he has gained extensive experience at spots such as Sri Lanka and the Philippines before now spending the summer season at Lake Garda with the team. For him, there is nothing better than witnessing his students develop the same passion for the sport. His goal is to get people onto the board with a smile and bring them back to shore with an even bigger one.

Mosi is studying medicine in Innsbruck and loves everything related to water and movement, on snow in winter and on lakes or the ocean in summer. He learned kitesurfing at AVID Kiteboarding more than eleven years ago and has been returning every summer ever since. Over time, this long standing connection naturally led him to become an instructor. During his semester breaks, he supports the AVID team and shares his experience with calmness, motivation, and genuine enthusiasm for the sport.
