Our kite camp takes place in cooperation with our partner Kitesafari.eu. To participate, you need to choose whether you bring your own equipment or rent it from us. After booking, you will receive two separate invoices. Kitesafari.eu is responsible for the safari and transport, while Avid Kiteboarding provides the complete kite services on site. Flights are not included.
Your adventure begins in the bay of Cala dei Sardi near Olbia. From there, we sail together into the La Maddalena archipelago, one of the most beautiful island worlds in Europe. We continue through the Strait of Bonifacio to Corsica. Each day we decide anew where to anchor and kite, always depending on wind and weather conditions. This flexibility makes every trip unique. We follow the wind, not a fixed plan. This way, you discover spots where you and your crew are often the only ones out there.
Sardinia is a paradise for kitesurfers: Caribbean-like water colors, endless white sandy beaches, warm temperatures, and consistent winds. Maestrale, Scirocco, and Levante are our reliable companions. In particular, the Strait of Bonifacio between Sardinia and Corsica creates a funnel effect that provides extra wind strength. For you, this means perfect conditions for long, unforgettable kite sessions, often all to yourself.
Your home on this trip is a Fontaine Pajot Helia 440: six cabins, four bathrooms, and plenty of space for privacy and relaxation. The flybridge offers the best views of the sea and sunsets. After your session, you can relax in the chill-out area, on the trampoline net, or enjoy a sundowner on deck. The catamaran offers comfort and privacy as you would rarely find on another kitesafari. You have a comfortable cabin, modern bathrooms, and lots of space to unwind. At the same time, you are part of a crew that shares a passion for kitesurfing and adventure. This is where friendships are formed that last far beyond the trip.
With the catamaran, we reach bays and beaches that are hardly accessible from land. You kite in places where you don’t see any other kitesurfer. Around you only your crew, the water, and the wind. No waiting, no crowds, no rush. We pump up our kites directly on deck, launch from the boat, and glide across crystal-clear water. This feeling of freedom is unique and truly addictive.
Each day brings new opportunities. Together we check the wind and weather, discuss the options, and head to the best spot. Sometimes we stay in one place for two days because the conditions are perfect. Sometimes we sail on and discover new areas. This way, every day becomes an adventure and boredom has no chance.
Next to kitesurfing, there is plenty to experience: actively take part in sailing, learn from our skipper, relax on the trampoline net, snorkel in secluded bays, paddle along the coast on a SUP, or explore small islands and hidden beaches. Shared evenings on deck, good food, music, and conversations under the starry sky turn this trip into a true community experience.
Our kite & sail in Sardinia is designed for anyone who can confidently ride upwind and already has some experience on the water. The spots are varied and sometimes challenging, which is exactly what makes the experience so special. If you are a beginner, you can still join, but you should be aware that not every spot will be suitable for you. Our experienced crew is always there to support you with tips, motivation, and safety.
You wake up, the sea is sparkling, and the sun warms your face. We have breakfast together on deck, check the wind and weather, and discuss the options for the day.
We sail to the next kitespot, perhaps a secluded bay or a sandbank that only appears at low tide. Even while anchoring, you can already feel it: you have truly arrived here.
Kitesurfing as long and as intensively as you want. You decide when and how long you are on the water. In between, there is time to relax, snorkel, or take small shore excursions.
After the session, we relax together, enjoy dinner on deck, and wind down the day with a sunset, music, and good conversations.
How many participants are on board?
Maximum eight participants plus crew. This keeps the atmosphere personal, familiar and relaxed.
Do I need my own equipment?
You can bring your own equipment or rent our premium equipment from Duotone for the entire trip.
How does the cooking work?
We take care of all shopping, and Jacqui and Chris spoil you with their cooking skills. There is a variety of healthy meals. On 2 to 3 evenings, we go ashore and dine at great local restaurants.
What happens when there is no wind?
Even without wind, the region offers plenty: sailing, stand-up paddling, snorkeling, exploring small islands, or simply relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. A stopover in Bonifacio with its spectacular harbor entrance is a highlight of every cruise.
What about security?
Our crew is experienced, the catamaran is fully equipped, and the kite instructors always ensure the safety and well-being of everyone. We also have a dinghy on board, which we use for transfers as well as a rescue boat.
