During our kite camp in Mexico, we will spend time together in Progreso, Yucatán. The spot offers comfortable accommodation and ideal conditions for all levels, from beginners to advanced riders. In addition to plenty of time on the water, we place special emphasis on progression, safety, and a relaxed group atmosphere. Off the water, you can look forward to fascinating insights into Mayan culture, stunning cenotes, and the diverse Mexican cuisine.
At the end of the camp, we will continue our journey together to the beautiful island of Holbox, where we will wrap up the trip in a truly unique atmosphere.
The Avid Kiteboarding kite camp stands for professional coaching, personal support, and a strong sense of community. Our experienced and certified instructors guide you throughout the entire camp, both on the water and on land.
Whether you are just starting out with kitesurfing or looking to refine your technique, we tailor our coaching individually to your level and goals. At the same time, there is plenty of time for free sessions, relaxation, and experiencing Mexican culture.
Our certified kite instructors will safely introduce you to the new spots, support you at offshore locations and during downwinders with rescue assistance, and provide solid theoretical and practical training for beginners. Advanced kitesurfers benefit from individual coaching. Everything is possible from improving body positioning to first jumps, rotations, kiteloops, and more advanced maneuvers. With years of international teaching experience and extensive local knowledge of the spots, our team ensures a high level of safety, quality, and sustainable learning progress.
We will spend the majority of our kite camp in Progreso, Yucatán, allowing you to achieve maximum progression and sustainable learning success thanks to consistent conditions and ideal setup. Flat water, plenty of space, and reliable wind create the perfect environment for intensive sessions and focused coaching. At the end of the trip, we will visit the paradise island of Holbox. There, we will conclude the camp with Caribbean vibes, dreamlike beaches, and unforgettable moments.

Progreso is known for its wide beaches, consistent wind, and ideal conditions with plenty of space on the water. It’s a perfect spot for all levels to start the camp and make rapid progress. In addition to kiting, you can look forward to comfortable accommodation as well as the opportunity to take great day trips in the surrounding region.
Holbox is all about relaxation and enjoyment, offering the perfect way to wind down the kite camp. Here, the focus is on rest, culinary experiences, and pure island life: fresh fish, small local restaurants, cozy beach bars, and breathtaking sunsets make Holbox the ideal finale to the trip.
The camp is suitable for all kitesurfing levels and can be booked flexibly. Complete beginners are required to book an intensive course with our certified kite instructors.

Who is the camp suitable for?
Our kite camp in Mexico is designed for kitesurfers and wingfoilers of all levels. From beginners to intermediate riders and up to pros.
Is the flight included in the price?
No, you only have to book the flight separately.
Do I have to book the full duration of the camp?
No, we can also arrange your arrival and departure individually. This can be discussed and organized on a case-by-case basis upon request.
What does the daily routine look like?
Since Progreso is a very wind reliable watersports destination, we are quite flexible. Depending on your energy level, we usually offer two guided sessions per day. If there should be a lack of wind, alternative day trips can be organized upon request.
Is it safe?
Throughout the entire kite camp, we stay exclusively in touristy and well developed regions. As a result, the overall safety situation for travelers is very good and uncomplicated. However, we are still in a country where social disparities can sometimes be clearly visible. Therefore, common sense, careful handling of personal valuables, and general awareness are always recommended.
