Our kite school at Lake Garda plants new trees through Ecologi, The Eden Projects, and the Trillion Tree Campaign on behalf of the United Nations Environment Programme, helping to protect the climate in the long term and preserve biodiversity. For every booked kitesurfing or wingfoiling course, we plant one tree to help reduce CO₂ emissions and create new habitats. In this way, you actively contribute to environmental, climate, and nature conservation.
Avid Kiteboarding supports projects of the United Nations REDD Programme, which protect the rainforest in Brazil, known as the “lungs of the world,” as well as initiatives promoting wind energy in Vietnam. Our support has a direct impact on atmospheric CO₂ levels, meaning you can learn kitesurfing with us at Lake Garda in a completely CO₂-neutral way.
Leave your mark on the forest. It has never been easier to protect the climate and do something meaningful. The “Trillion Tree Campaign,” founded by UN Environment and partners, pursues the ultimate goal of planting one trillion trees. With one trillion new trees, up to one quarter of human-made CO₂ emissions could be absorbed, while also helping to create prosperity in the Global South. Within the first five years of the campaign alone, 12,585,293,312 trees have already been planted and recorded.
For every new booking of a kitesurfing or wingfoiling course at our school at Lake Garda, we plant a tree and register it through Ecologi or the Trillion Tree Campaign. We regularly share the number and locations of the planted trees via our social media channels and newsletter.
